Impotence comes from the mind and not the body

This is a true realization Nigerians have to come to terms with in order for us to be free from some of our problems. It's no news that we see host of beggars at our local markets and streets all the time . To some it's actually disability of the mind in terms of blindness to the opportunities in the world , lameness to walk in greatness and deafness to voices of opportunities perpetually crying to us to make impact the world, but unfortunately things are the way they are.

Starting up a job is no big deal as there are many construction firms in need of bricklayers and other unskilled workers, empowerment programmes are running here and there but some of these things are just courtesy of the disabled mind and not the body.
Awaken your mind to positivity; awaken the giant  in you.

An article on solving unemployment with the use of mobile technology

With respect to an application I made recently, I was told to write an article on solving a social problem in Nigeria by employing  mobile technology. I chose unemployment as it is a major social problem in Nigeria . Unemployment is a "mother" social problem that brings up others like child trafficking, poverty, crime, prostitution and many more so I believe solving this problem will significantly change the nation's state in different ramifications

                            UNEMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA
The positive impacts of mobile technology and its advent in Nigeria can be employed to address most of her social problems. Unemployment is a major social problem in Nigeria.
However, through mobile technology, it can be reduced considerably by the creation of online jobs in form of e-agriculture, e-medicine, e-commerce, e-lecturing and e-legal services. Unfortunately, this area of human development has not been sufficiently utilized. For this services to be adequately rendered, there is a need for an enabling environment through government support in approval and financial aid through creation of platforms such as cyberhubs especially in rural areas where users can enjoy the services of there service providers.
Practically, if an online teachers has 500 street hawkers as students who engage him at #100 monthly, he/she will generate about #50,000 per month which at least is better than staying unemployed.
Through this, Illiteracy and unemployment can be simultaneously tackled. I believe through mobile technology, most social problems in Nigeria can be tackled.

One man's magic is another man's Engineering

This quote by Robert A Heilein is one that is very rich and can transport one to endless thought realms.
Man has moved from one level of technological advancement to another over the years which has shown increased level of familiarization with matter and energy giving rise to more innovations and inventions. Man is naturally endowed with the capacity to be creative having evolved from Australopithecus to Homo Habilis(handy  man), Homo Erectus(standing man) and now Homo Sapien. In these stages, there have been geometrical increase in the circumference of the circles of man's thinking patterns thereby opening the door to new dimension of solving mysteries making us to understand more about this mystical world. Though man is naturally endowed with this capacity, it's another thing entirely to apply our knowledge to solve our problems.
Nanotechnology is the key to opening more inventions that will be truly innovative. If we see matter as smaller units, we'll understand the fundamentals more, dig deep into them and then make significant changes to the already existing principles. Take for instance the Turing phone with a liquid frame. This came as a result of in depth study on modifications of liquids to fit in solid properties. But if we sit and look everything will appear as magic, so let's stand, move and explore this underexplored world. After all, apes make tools.
